I've seen price and performance comparisons with a SB61G2 system and
comparably equipped dell and gateway systems. In terms of performance, there
was no difference. In terms of price the Shuttle won hands down. In terms of
performance it was right up there. Expandability is a problem, once you've
filled up the PCI and AGP slots there's nothing really left, but for at
least 95% of the population, its more than adequate. I had thought that heat
would be a problem, but that turned out not to be the case.

Given that the machine came with 2 firewire, and 6 USB 2.0 ports, onboard
networking, audio and video, you get a lot for the price (I paid around $280
for mine). It's a great little machine.
