full SATA RAID support but how much you can do with 1 5 1/4" and 2 3 1/2 in
drive bays is debatable. One of the newer models has an extra 3 1/2 inch bay
mounted vertically, but that's at the expense of the AGP. They also have
what could be a server model. It has gigabit and 10/100 Ethernet onboard as
well as some other enhancements. One possibility is their new system
designed for the Athlon 64
(http://www.shuttle.com/hq/product/barebone/default.asp?B_id=34).

It'd be great, but I'm not expecting Shuttle to make a small PC with room
for four hard drives. What I'd love is an external drive tower that could
be connected to the shuttle as (preferably) a bootable drive array. A tiny
system box on the desk and a massive storage locker to hide under the desk
or behind the LCD. ;^)
SATA does allow for external devices (although not many people seem to be
taking advantage of it) so it may not be too hard to pull off while staying
relatively cheap.
IBM tried such a design years ago but dropped it shortly after. I'd love to
see Shuttle dredge it up again.
