I don't think terrorism is a pick and choose business, Trent. I think
terrorists don't care where they strike. They are trying to demoralize their
opponents, and their opponents are all those who don't agree with them.
Europe is not immune either. Neither is Britain, or France, or any of the
free world.
Peculiarly, it's not always easy to see who's responsible -- it's not easy
to tie this into a cause or a group. Sometimes 20 groups will claim
responsibility for the same heinous act. They just enjoy the thrill of
causing death and destruction.
Bottom line is -- we're not safe until the terrorists are dead. They're
basically homocidal maniacs (often religious homocidal maniacs) on a much
larger scale. And as long as they're free, they'll keep on killing.
