I've met him briefly. He was here for a talk that I attended and later
I was part of a staged "public outcry of thousands" for his TV Nation
show.
What I came away from that was that he is an honestly caring person.
Because of the strength of his caring he is also very impassioned and
is often blinded by his outrage. But mostly he truly cares about the
underprivledged. Bush says he cares, Clinton said he cares but with
Moore you can actually believe it.
Does he exaggerate and manipulate facts to make his point? Absolutely
and it's one of the things that I don't care for about him. Is he full
of himself to the point of being annoying? Yep. And is he rather rabid
about his positions and unable to see that he is often unbalanced in
his view of the situation? Absolutely. But he's rabid for the social
welfare of the underprivledged not for the greedy white men who's goal
it is to keep people poor.
