I'm not saying that shooting the militant attempting to kill the
soldiers is a bad thing.
Although I am of course against all loss of human life.
Look...See image of civilians,soldiers killed.Look..see image of
terrorist killed.
Look see images.
that's all I was saying.
Not that they are directly comparable except that they are images from
the conflict that we do not usually see.

I don't see how this is a balance. In one you have an unarmed
non-combatant hostage being executed, and in this one you have an
armed threat being neutralized. Yes the result in both situations is
someone's death, but the intent is wildly different.
Now I have seen video and read accounts that does show indescriminate
vilence against civilians by our troops, but this isn't it.
