I'm at the multimedia lab so they won't let me fix it even if I
dianose it. I'll take a look on my own machine later, just out of
scientific curiosity.
Meanwhile, if the guy was firing at them and they got him, I say good.

Dana, this is usually indicative of not having the Divx codec
installed. Media player will play the file as a sound only file if
you don't have Divx installed.
