while I agree with your sentiments, I think the movie says the Taliban
were in Houston to see Unocal about the pipeline. Articles I have
subsequently read say the movie implies that they met with Bush. At
least one article says this is untrue or at least unproven. What I
mainly remember of this sequence was the really misogynic nature of
some remarks the made. "your husband must have a lot of trouble with
you"???? Doug or anyone else who has seen it, do you remember exactly
what Moore says here?

HOWEVER

The movie definitely says Bush Sr watched news coverage of 9/11 with
Osama's brother.  If true this is enough to explain the special
treatment they received in my opinion -- even if the flights were the
13th not the 12th that's still special treatment when you consider
what was happened to other less well-connected  Arab men...

This is what I mean when I say we need a dittohead report of the day.

The movie never claims the war in Afghanistan was about building a
pipeline, that is a complete lie only a lowbrow could believe. The
movie does show members of the Taleban running around Washington in
the days before 9/11 being romanced by the Bushies at the same time
they were hiding Osama in their country.

Is Rush aware Bush, his idol, was giving the red carpet treatment to
soon-to-be accessories to murder? Of course, which is why he makes up
this crap - to head people with brains off at the pass.

Instead of saying how sad it is so many Americans are being duped by
this corporate waste of the public's airwaves, I am pleased to have a
pipeline of lies reaching across America. It gives me purpose. Thanks,
dittohead, for your lack of critical thinking skills and inability to
sort out facts for yourself.

Alright, sucked back into it...
Unocal.

All this talk of Rush I decided to see what he had to
say.

"Another big lie has to do with the pipeline being
built in Afghanistan. Unocal wants to build a
pipeline. Moore says we went into Afghanistan so that
under the guise of defeating the Taliban but we were
there really to set up the pipeline to be built by
Unocal and that the new Afghanistan president was part
of the deal. It's a lie. Unocal gave up trying to
build the pipeline in 1999.
statement) It's not being built; there is no pipeline,
and none was being contemplated at the time. Those are
just two. I mean the movie is full of them."

Hey Odd M&M, here's another link and this one to the
dreaded enemy himself:

When Rush says two, he's refering to the Bin Laden
Family flights that Richard Clark said was his doing
and was beaten to death here already.
