an Al Jazierra reporter the other day, and asked that question.
The reporter said that majority of the Iraqis are glad the Americans are
there, and very glad Saddam isn't. The attacked are being done by a minority
of people who had power under Saddam, but now under a democratic system will
not have power, or are foreign terrorists out to kill Americans.
The media goes to these places because they can further their agenda, or get
the scoop or what ever, but they aren't telling us the entire story.
There are people upset because of power problems, but they mostly understand
it is saboteurs and not the US trying to keep them from having power.
But in reality we don't know, opinion polls are difficult to interoperate,
many may still fear for their lives, if it found out how they answered the
opinion poll they may be killed. But I'm just speculating, I have not basis
for that theory.

maybe it's the stories about families of troops holding yard sales to
buy body armor? Or maybe it's the administration prediction that we
will be there for years. Or hey, maybe it's a guerilla war where the
liberatees don't seem all that glad to have us there?
