they just want the right to pay their taxes together and the right to be able to get health insurance together etc etc.
I mean some gays can get health insurance through a few big companies but mostly they are SOL

Give the gays equal rights and let them have a civil union. Or while we're
passing the 'don't let gays marry amendment' we can repeal the rights of
woman and blacks? I mean if we're going to start pulling equal rights away
why not go full tilt?

No. But I do want a relatively lawless society where I can do as I
please so long as I do no harm. However, I'm thinking that you and I
would disagree on the salient points of "doing harm" in this instance.
