In 1992, and in 2000, no candidate had a majority of the popular votes.
Would you base the president on a plurality or a majority?
Oh and on a side note, there is no way in hell a Constitutional Amendment
getting rid of the Electoral College would ever pass, it would require � of
the state legislature to approve it. There is no way small states will allow
it to pass, and the Senators and Representatives from those states will not
allow it either.
