To all concerned:

The only reason I personally approve each registration is because I only
want people to register who are even remotely interested in contributing,
and want to avoid people exploiting the site or its members.

As I emailed to Raymond, people have tried to register with cuss words as
their names, 'asdf' 'asdf' as the name and username, and emails like
[EMAIL PROTECTED] I do not want these people to become of member of the
site.

I have never taken more than 6 hours, as far as I can remember, to take the
time to get an Internet connection and approve new registrations. While I
know that many sites offer the "wham-bam you're a member and we don't care"
approach, I chose not to go that route. Last I checked, it was a free
registration, as well.

The whole point in making people register for almost all content was that it
would hopefully get them to post information by making everyone a member of
a community. While it turns out that was a pipe-dream, I thought it made
sense at the time :)

And lastly, I don't require a login "just link to my (and other) sites" as
someone said. To all of the amazing people that have taken the time to
submit information to the site, I find all of it educational and worthwhile.
I appreciate their efforts and hope that more people can submit their
knowledge as well.
