BUT....in the United States (i cannot speak for Europe), i believe the figure is close to 90% of people who believe in a God. What i was simply pointing out is that the fact that religious beliefs still play a role in legislative decisions, especially on ethical questions (see W.), is really not that surprising, given the 90% figure.

understand only a slim minority in Europe now have that belief.
Anyhow by your logic then religion should rule government.
