This was perhaps the most fun I've had in a First Person Shooter in
ages!
Great storyline! Wonderful, memorable characters with fully realised
personalities....loads of humor and over the top performances!
It was great!!
Ahhh...so different from what we see today! NOLF2 was light hearted, and
innocent compared to the harsh anti-heroes that are so popular today.
Whereas now everything must be horrifying, ugly, gritty and hard edged,
NOLF2 was humorous, bright and lively! Even the 'terrible' monsters had
some personality ^_^.
>From the evil director of H.A.R.M. who would frequently field calls from
his mother, to the irrepressible Head Mime who gathered an army of Mimes
to whom he would lecture the art of the invisible box and how to
indicate 'stick em up' to one's enemies...the game's villains were
exceptional. You want to stay in the shadows and listen to the in - game
conversations between the guards and NPC characters simply because they
are so humorous.
The game quality , production values...voice acting..level
design..graphics!
I was able to run this one at 1280 x 960 with everything set to high,
Anti Aliasing set to 8x and Anisotropic Filtering set to 4x. It looked
fantastic. It's a 2002 game so it was using DX8.1
If anyone wishes to own one of the gems of computer gaming, make sure
and pick this one up in the bargain bin if you ever come across it! :)
Now THIS should be made into a movie :)
