Clinton got hammered at a party and fell down the stairs? sweet! Done that too!
Rush likes taking his prescription drugs cuz they tickle? Fine. I've got ridiculous quantities left over from various minor surgeries (i swear docs give this stuff out like candy these days)
Why not just admit these things, apologize, and move on? Makes ya seem human, Americans have a huge capacity to forgive, and it defuses these situations before they explode.
While the Dry Drunk syndrom thing is probably a bit out there, i think it's hilarious to consider......"Sorry i snapped at you, Mr. Blair, i got the shakes something bad this morning"
