When you get digital cable, the lower set of channels are still analog
while the higher channels are the digital. The digital channels use a
completely different tuner than the analog channels, and the WinFast
card doesn't have a digital tuner.
If that's not frustrating enough, there are different flavors of
digital tuners. For over the air digital, you would need a ATSC tuner.
For digital cable, you would need a QAM tuner. In addition, the
channels you want, like HBO, are encrypted. So just a QAM tuner isn't
enough. You would need a QAM tuner with decryption, which isn't
available.
Bottom line, trying to do what you want to do sucks.
