I have trouble lumping Powell in with Bush, as its widely known that he was
not enthusiastic about invading Iraq. It would seem drastically out of
character for Powell to knowingly say something that he knew to be untrue.
I admit, i'm a big Powell fan. You can tell he hates stumping for Bush, and
probly regrets accepting his post. His moderate views have gone largely
ignored on both sides, to the detriment of the rest of us IMHO.

Try this article. Start looking and reading the links it references.
Interesting stuff.
<outbind://27/www.inthesetimes.com> www.inthesetimes.com.
According to this, Both Bush and Powell were told not to say certain
things
because the information was not verifiable or came from shaky sources and
they did anyways. The article slants it to the left a bit, however the
sources are from unclassified and declassified documents and present a
fairly objective view.
