Richard Feynman, considered by many to be the only person who understood
quantum mechanics, once said that anybody who claims to understand
quantum mechanics doesn't.

And so it is true with economics.  Implicit in your email is the fact
that you do understand economics and so by voicing your opinion you've
removed all doubt as to your competence with it.

As for Greenspan's competence I've not yet seen the soft landing he had
promised.  He also seems to have had a VERY itchy throttle finger; but
then I don't claim to understand economics.
