True. I may have been one of those who said something of the sort. I
just don't really understand why some people get so upset about this.

I dunno, several people seemed to use it as the crux of their
argument, or at the very least, began their arguments with it.  But
the human rights argument is valid and certainly more important.

  That argument regarding gay marriage has not really been used all that
  much around here in that debate. Rather its been more of a tertiary
  argument. The more important one have been the human rights arguments.
