Agreed that the school system is not working as well

Problems have been known for many years.  How much innovation occurred
before Charter Schools?

Could you show any studies from peer reviewed journals,  ...
My comment was more a general statement about competitive and
non-competitive models.  The conservative side of me believes that competition
is good for everyone and every model.  My question was more along the lines of
outside of education, where else has the competitive model failed to produce
superior results?

The question you ask is too large ..
My question is based on my experience with my own behavior changes and as a
coach of young kids.  In these instances, to create change I helped
visioned/helped kids vision what it would be like in the future and asked them
to adjust their actions to what it would be like if they were already there.
I view this as assuming the attitude first and the behavior changes follows.
Probably my misuse of the English language..

Now that said, one of the most general findings in psychology going
back to the mid 60's is that measures of attitude change do not
predict behavior with any degree of accuracy.

  Thanks.
