Use a different web browser
There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies relating to the IE domain/zone security model, MIME type determination, and ActiveX. It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser. Such a decision may, however, reduce the functionality of sites that require IE-specific features such as DHTML, VBScript, and ActiveX. Note that using a different web browser will not remove IE from a Windows system, and other programs may invoke IE, the WebBrowser ActiveX control, or the HTML rendering engine (MSHTML).

I found this phrase in seven notes using their search function [http://search.us-cert.gov/query.html?col=csalrts&col=csbulls&col=cstips&col=feddocs&col=pressrm&col=tcsalrts&col=vulnotes&col=xtradocs&op0=&fl0=&ty0=w&tx0=+&op1=%2B&fl1=&ty1=p&tx1=Use+a+different+web+browser&op2=-&fl2=&ty2=w&tx2=+&dt=an&inthe=604800&ady=17&amo=8&ayr=2004&bdy=24&bmo=8&byr=2004&nh=25&rf=2&lk=1&sc=0&ws=1&charset=iso-8859-1&ql=a&qt=].
Not exactly a "Sky is falling" indorsement of abanding IE, but sounds like a good idea to me. Now that I have had some time to figure it out, I'm begining to really enjoy FireFox.
