"alternatives to the specific processors being testing". Specifically
"these are alternatives to these that AMD provides".
How're the newer AMD chips doing with heat and power consumption? I'll
probably be doing a new system from scratch in January. I'd like to go back
to a dually and like the Xeons, but they're not particularly cheap. ;^)
Still I'd rather pay for them if the AMDs still have heat problems or need
giant power supplies (since I don't have any air conditioning).

Notice the prejudice in the line "Alternative" processors. Not
'Competing' Processors, or 'Comparable'. But 'Alternative' processors.
