With these types of diseases, the essence of the person is taken away....leaving you to care for a stranger insultingly masquerading as a loved one. It's like watching someone die all over again...every day.

Apparently it's possible to have a series of small strokes which are
not readily diagnosed? Not sure. I have been following news stories on
the topic but not actively researching it. I started to add also that
this was Canada, which lags a bit behind medically, but actually the
great-aunt that that just died lived her entire life in the US, so
medical care rationing is not a factor.
