You guys can say it's bogus all you want.


Americans will sit on their asses and the news laws will pass, and then
people will moan and groan about it,and happily pay higher fees for
media they can't do anything with.


They will buy a CD and then have to buy .mp3s online to play in their
Ipods because they can't copy songs from the CD to the Ipod.
They will buy a cool XM Radio interface for their machines, but then get
penalised for wanting to use their machine in the same Fair Use way a
cassette tape is used.


America must have been SOOOO very different decades ago, when consumers
actually fought for their rights and got all the laws that the RIAA and
the MPAA was attempting to pass way back then overturned.
It isn't the first time they have tried this, but its the first time the
American consumer has rolled over and lubed up for them with just a bit
of grumbling under their breaths.


When these laws start getting passed in Europe I'll worry.
I think as far as [insert word here] Rights are concerned in America,
all is lost anyway.


The Majority just doesn't care enough to ACT.
