Maybe the current ASCAP method for paying royalties is outdated and
incompatible with future methods of playing and distributing music.  
Besides, I can record videos off of MTV/radio, and those are distributed
willy-nilly already.  I'm sure XM has some way to track what you listen
to, or at least what stations you prefer to listen to, which is
dutifully passed out to "Select Marketing Partners" anyway.
