They also covered some of this at Spinsanity.com - currently my absolute
favorite web site.
They've also done an excellent book called "All the President's Spin", if
you're interested. It details the way the white house, and the Bush White
House in particular has used various public relations and marketing
techniques to make vast numbers of false assertions while committing only
very few outright lies to the public record.
It also covers to a lesser extent how past administrations have done the
same thing and how the Bush Administrations policies in this regard are
actually a masterful conglomeration of those pioneered by Nixon, Regean,
and, in particular, Clinton.
A really excellent read.
