I never meant to imply it was common, but it has been known to happen
for women who are prepared for and expect painless birth. Though I
gather that by and large, your description does depict the norm (and I
see where my verbage might have seemed a bit zealous. :P ) Though when
my ex was pregnant with our 2nd daughter, she was also reading a lot
of birth erotica. It sounds really bizarre to most women particularly
in our culture where hospital birth horror stories tends to become the
women's equivalent of a phalus-sizing contest. Nonetheless there are a
good number of women who write about having not just a powerful right
of passage, but in some cases the most powerful orgasmic experiences
of their lives while givin birth. Although not always painlessly. Of
course every woman is different.
