I don't know why it's more expensive.  I just know it is.

Paul O'Neill is a brilliant man.  Perhaps not made for politics.  Shame, I
heard he was a viable candidate to replace Greenspan.  I doubt that anyone
would consider him now after writing that book.  I found his comments to be
very entertaining and his fears to be legitimate, but it's a big no-no to
write a book like that.  See no evil, hear no evil  - that's the way D.C.
work.  How much does a $10/barrel tax work out to in the pump?  So if it's
$54 a barrel for crude oil.   Anyone know what the equation to change
barrels to gallons is? Just curious.  That said, I think taxing oil isn't
too smart an idea now.  Although I would like too see alternative energy
sources being developed.  Maybe, a big maybe, tax crude oil a little and
then give government funds (from the tax only) towards new energy source
research.  Shrug.  Maybe a senator smarter then me will come up with something.

I only skimmed through last nights debate because the Yankees were on
TV.  But the overviews seems to suggest that both candidates accomplished
their goals on being as vague as possible on their fiscal policies.
