Err...maybe ;-)  That's a choice I have to leave to you! It's a toss up
right now, because the current PCIe cards are not yet matched with the other
technology (memory bandwidth, bus utilization, etc) that is going to make
the PCIe chips worthwhile.  You'd have to update your motherboard and memory
in the future anyways.  But, as I'm sure you know, that's the pitfalls of
buying a computer: you have to weigh the current performance against the
possibilities of the future abilities and make a decision.  What I was
saying is: if you want a nice gaming rig, AMD is the current king of the
hill.  But that does mean no PCIe for now. I believe they will have AMD
based motherboards with PCIe slots in the next 3-4 months...

If you are ready to buy, I'd go with newegg or zipzoomfly:

newegg's got the 3500+ retail for $341:

And zipzoomfly has it for $340 with free 2nd day shipping:

ZipZoomFly charges you a restocking fee for returns. But if you know what
you want, they normally have the best prices. NewEgg's also has great
prices, along with awesome customer service and ships very fast...

*With that all being said...I'm going to be buying a Pentium 4 CPU and
motherboard with a PCIe slot.  I don't mind losing 5-15% performance in most
games vs AMD, and it also means I'll be able to pick up either the 6600 GT
or X700 PCIe graphic cards when they finally come out (which = better
performance at cheaper prices.)  But it all depends on what end result you
are trying to achieve...

I've got that, Those boards are AGP 8x
so, you still prefer me not to go for PCI Express?
