HD...
That's definitely the next step. We've been eagerly awaiting the next
version of the Treo around my office for 2 years now. It was blatantly
obviously that the Treo 600 needed a higher res screen, bluetooth, and a
better camera. Now the 650 is coming out in the next month with all of
those features. But, about a week after I get my grubby hands on one, I'm
going to be bitching about the lack of a built-in HD, I'd be ecstatic with
even a 20 gigger.
I'm sure there's a marketing term for staggering your feature set between
models, so that you actually have something to sell later on, but I grew up
in instant gratification America and I'd rather have it know. If only I
could generate several million in investment money and start a hardware
company...er, maybe I'll just be patient->

Subject: New HP PocketPC with flipcovers!
This is mostly for Jim Davis, but I figured I'd pass it along for
anyone who cares.
Brighthand is showing pics/specs of the new HP iPAQ hx2000 series. The
thing that really caught my eye was the built-in flipcover that looks
a lot like the old Jornada design.

Still only QVGA, but from what I've read the way VGA is implemented in
the PPC isn't actually giving 4x the benefit. And in some cases, like
in Pocket Excel, the QVGA can apparently actually show more rows and
columns.
And why hasn't anyone come out with a PocketPC with a 40 GB HD like is
found in the iPod? I'd seriously put up with a little more weight and
size rather than carry two entire devices around.
