Yeah, it's pretty ironic.
All the Bush tv ads attacking Kerry here have been using the phrase
"Kerry and the liberals in Washington" to talk about him. And because
they tack on the "liberals", they are also free to effectively making
up statistics. Like "Kerry and the liberals in Washington voted 580
times to have a rabid squirrel rape your mother." Who voted 580 times?
By lumping them together, it's entirely possible for them to suggest
that Kerry voted for things he didn't. There was even one where I
thought the made up number was too low if they were counting all the
liberal votes.
