I would only interview people that can provide a portfolio. I have used a couple gfx artists on some side work projects and have always had great production from those who have a decent portfolio of things to show you. Also, look for people involved in the Photoshop/Fireworks/etc communities. See if they are on any lists, have any certifications, etc. Truth be told, the "flaky" type artists are not all bad from a skill perspective, personality wise they might be "different" but they think the same of us developers :-) Mike ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Sams Teach Yourself Regular Expressions in 10 Minutes by Ben Forta http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=40 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:131716 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
