The amazing thing is that Dell has this sort of pricing power.  I actually 
posted a message to the group last week about laptops because I was 
spec-ing out a few models.  I decided to pass last week for the same 
reasons I decided to pass this week.

I'm very curious what this sale will mean for Dell.  They report earnings 
Nov 11, 2004.  The mean TFC estimate is $.33.  I have no idea how long it 
takes Dell to create their financial statements but I've read that Cisco 
can create financial statements that are accurate to within hours of time 
they initiate the process.  Poor HP and Gateway.  They have to compete 
against this.  I don't think they can offer $750 off without taking a loss 
or upsetting their retail partners.
