I understand that sentiment more than I will admit. You touch my family and I will hunt you down and do things to you that would make death desirable. However, I don't think you and I are alone. I believe that this line of thinking is held by a large percent of people (probably more men). It is also the reason I doubt there will ever be peace in the mid-east.
Every side has a historical event to back their view. The Israeli's did this, the Palestinians did that. Whether you are talking about Sharone and Arafat, or historical references such religous documents. The hate runs deep and everytime an Israeli citizen or soldier dies, or a Palestinian Freedom fighter (Michael might use terrorist here) or citizen dies it just generates more hate. I also wonder how many Iraqi's who had little to no opinion of the US now hate use for killing their innocent (or not so innocent) family memebers. How many terrorists have we created in the process of freeing Iraq? Had the US killed my daughter, wife or other family member I would probably turn against them to the point that I would be considered a terrorist. Because I would want them out of my country.
