I have a friend that had her foot stepped on. It took a year to see a podiatrist because they are considered specialist. If she had paid on her own, her foot would be fine now. Instead one of her toes now overlaps another. They tried two surgeries to fix it but can�t, it's too late. Now she either has to get used to it and wear bigger shoes or remove the toe. She tells me these problems are common.
