Please surprise me by making a resonable response to a resonable point
without resorting to the refuge of the ignorant - implied and explicit
insults.

Neither you, nor I, nor Sam, nor anyone one this board know what the
"facts" are. We are all speculating based on what we read and how we
analyze it.

Let's keep the conversations on a higher level than the school
playground and we may all learn something.

> Qadafi is cooperating with the UN, something Sadaam never did.

>From what I can see, we have no idea how much Mr. Qadafi is
cooperating with the UN. I've read many articles that say the
"cooperation" is driven by his son, but that Mr. Qadafi is skeptical
and possibly only doing it to secure funding a la North Korea.

Secondly, Hussein was cooperating with the UN, at least in principle,
otherwise how would there have been the oil-for-food program, UN fly
overs, or weapons inspections.

On a side note, are you on a first name basis with Hussein? You keep
calling him "Sadaam" as if he were your neighbor who just mowed your
lawn.

Have you spoken with the Prime Minister or Defense Minister? I work
with about 20 Frenchman everyday who all didn't support the war, but
would support troops in Iraq if Mr. Kerry were elected.

I will predict that both France and Germany would send troops when Mr.
Kerry is elected. They will be anxious to restore relations with
America, are looking for business investment in their country, and
would like a piece of the action in Iraq.

And both countries were cooperating with the UN under Mr. Clinton.
Something they're no longer doing with Mr. Bush ...

We just pulled troops out of North Korea and Mr. Bush refuses to do
what China has asked us to do and meet privately with the North
Koreans. So far this "work" has resulted in North Korea declaring
that they have multiple nuclear weapons and test firing a missile they
claim can reach the US.

That doesn't sound like progress to me, it sounds like things are
going backwards.
