That's not true. There was general consensus among the politicians but not among the inspectors or the intelligence agencies. The material given to the administration by the intelligence agencies offered multiple likelihoods, including many situations in which there were no WMD. The only agreement was that Hussein was being an ass and that he undoubtedly would go for weapons if the sanctions were lifted. But most of the assessments were that he probably didn't have them. It was the administration that limited their discourse to the few scenarios in which there were WMD. Andy, we went around and around on this before the war. You didn't believe me then, but the facts are here. We have the benefit of hindsight now, and we can see that the administration did indeed push their agenda over the intelligence. Intelligence that was not conclusive and did include the likelyhood that Hussein didn't have squat. I'm done now. We're all broken records here and people aren't changing their minds despite the evidence. And that's on both sides. -Kevin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=35 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133523 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
