That's not true. There was general consensus among the politicians but
not among the inspectors or the intelligence agencies. The material
given to the administration by the intelligence agencies offered
multiple likelihoods, including many situations in which there were no
WMD. The only agreement was that Hussein was being an ass and that he
undoubtedly would go for weapons if the sanctions were lifted. But
most of the assessments were that he probably didn't have them. It was
the administration that limited their discourse to the few scenarios
in which there were WMD.

Andy, we went around and around on this before the war. You didn't
believe me then, but the facts are here. We have the benefit of
hindsight now, and we can see that the administration did indeed push
their agenda over the intelligence. Intelligence that was not
conclusive and did include the likelyhood that Hussein didn't have
squat.

I'm done now. We're all broken records here and people aren't changing
their minds despite the evidence. And that's on both sides.
