Blah blah blah...yadda yadda...blah blah.... Right. Yet another article that has little to nothing to do with the reasons that the Bush Administration put forward for going into the war. You see, you need to separate the current Rhetoric, from what was said -and this part is important- LEADING UP TO the war.
See, my problem is that the Bush Administration said certain things to the American people and the International community LEADING UP TO the war. These were put forward as the REASONS FOR GOING TO WAR. These REASONS FOR GOING TO WAR that were put forward were: 1) Saddam Hussein and his regime in Iraq represented the greatest threat to American Security, the greatest Terrorist Threat AT THAT TIME. 2) Saddam Hussein had STOCKPILES of Weapons of Mass Destruction at his disposal to sell to terrorists, or to use himself against either the US or his neighbours. 3) Saddam Hussein had an ACTIVE BIOCHEMICAL WARFARE PROGRAM and was IN THE PROCESS of producing bio-chemical warfare agents. Your little copy and paste neatly sidesteps these points. The above points were false. Therefore we now know that AS PUT FORTH TO THE PEOPLE AND THE WORLD BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, THERE WAS NO REASON TO GO TO WAR AT THAT TIME, IN THAT WAY.The PreEmptive strike which Bush launched was based on those three 'Facts' which we now know are not true. Now, if you would like to somehow deal with the above statement fine. But please don't post some poppy cock that has nothing to do with it in response. -Gel -----Original Message----- From: Sam Morris <snipped due to irrelevance> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:134803 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
