My own opinion: the morning after pill should not require a prescription. Any harmful side effects are most likely trivial given that the stuff is only taken for about three days. But due to my recent pulmonary embolism, I have visited some email lists on the topic and birth control pills seem to be a leading cause. So perhaps they hand them out a little too freely and with too few warnings as it is.
