I just want to write that I don't think we are in a recession. We came out of a recession in 2003. I'm also skeptical of Bush's ability to lead the US into prosperity. Just like some guys are good at bringing a company out of bankruptcy, President Bush brought the US out of recession. Once the distressed company has cleared the final huddles of bankruptcy, it's time for a new CEO to step in. I think Kerry could have been that man. Even Anne Coultier was quoted in Time as saying, "A [John] Kerry presidency would have been better for business...". She does finish her quote that she believes that Bush reduces her chances of being killed by Islamic terrorists. So I guess her credibility as an economist is rather suspect. > My analogy is this: let's say your best friend is jobless but wants > your lifestyle. You make $150k/yr. The only postive thing I can write is that at least we are borrowing when the money is cheap. Maybe hope that we took out that 50K loan to go to Med School or something. Although the consumer debt being so high would strongly argue that isn't the correct analogy to use. Sigh. Hopefully we can get our act together once it get's expensive to borrow. -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:135487 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
