For the last 50 years people have been calling Arafat a terrorist and for the last 50 years people have been emulating him. I don't think your theory has much empirical support. Do you see a shortage of followers for Bin Laden since we started calling him a terrorist? How about Iraq? We've been calling them terrorists for a decade and even a year after an invasion we can't keep the peace. Calling people names doesn't seem to be working - at least not for the last 5 decades. The reality is, no matter what we call Arafat, his people think he's a hero. Insulting him only strengthens his cause. Let's stop beating our heads against a wall, and give the Palestinians what they want which is: 1.) Respect, 2.) Recognition, and 3.) peace. In that order. Let Arafat die. Let's get a Palestinian leader committed to a 2 state solution who renounces terror as a tactic and let's move on. Arafat's dead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:135809 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
