Maybe Abu has to do with "Son of" or "Father of" or something like that?
In Hebrew, we do names like "Judith daughter of Alexander" (only we'd use the Hebrew names there). The Hebrew name for son of is "Ben" and daughter of is "Bas." So maybe it means "son of Mazen"? Am I right? Anyone here know?
