Judith is correct. Abu whatever is an honor term, you (as a man) generally 
take the name of your first born son. Your wife, should you have one, becomes 
"Um". Soooo, my name is Marwan. My first born son is Khaled. As of June 16, I 
am Abu Khaled, in Arabic circles. My wife Kara is now Um Khaled.
