Not at all - it was purely a purchase of pure hate and loathing. I needed something, needed it quick, needed it now and Best Buy was closest. I had been up for 30 hours, wasn't happy with life because I was going to have wipe my system drive and needed someplace to store all my stuff... quickly. Either that or (at the time at least) slit my wrists with a back-plane cover.
(In any case at the time 200 Gig drives were not $99 and Firewire/USB2 enclosures weren't all that common. I personally don't use the associated software at all.) It IS a nice unit - clean lines, decent cooling without being obnoxious, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. But it's definitely not the cheap way to go. ;^) Jim Davis -----Original Message----- From: Larry C. Is the associated software that good? larry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:137171 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
