That was a powerful film - I haven't eaten a McDonalds since seeing it. I think you're right about the virus, this is going to be an excuse for people, sort of the new "I just have big bones".
I am a couple of stone overweight at the moment, ever since I got married it seems to be creeping on - but no excuses; I eat too much and exercise too little. I think I'll start a blog to chart my progress towards better health, I doubt it will be of interest to anyone else but it might be a prompt for me to start going to the gym. -----Original Message----- From: Angel Stewart [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 November 2004 10:57 To: CF-Community Subject: RE: now the truly important news Mm hmm. Further attempts to absolve people of their responsibility. Now it's not their fault, it's a virus. I saw Supersize Me the documentary. It was quite good actually, and very interesting. The only problem I see really on the Food Industry's part is that they attempt to promote their food as being healthy. The McDOnald's salad combination has about as much fat as the hamburger. I would take them to court for false advertising, but not as a cause of getting people obese. People do that on their own by eating the low priced, high cholesterol, high sugar fast food combos. Whether that is because it's what they can afford, or what is most convenient..there could be several reasons it does not imply gluttony. -Gel -----Original Message----- From: Wayne Putterill [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Presumably the virus is carried in hamburgers and cakes? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:137273 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
