I'm sure those fans are going to pay for it.

But we also have an idea in this country that there are police and other
government agencies tasked with keeping the peace and dealing with
offenders.

Right up until the point where Artest jumped into the stands he was the
victim, he committed a hard foul, but that was it, the fans reacted
inappropriately, and then he reacted in a way that was even worse.

He has no place in the NBA is he is going to act like that.

I guess this is what makes this such a interesting story.  I feel that 
Artest, while acting out of line, didn't do anything to warrant a 
permanent suspension.  He has been made a scape goat for the 
deficiencies of the NBA, Detroit Pistons, and Indiana Pacers.

Someone has to pay for that Malice in the Palace and it's a lot easier 
to get a couple of guys worth about $30M then round up a bunch of people.

I wouldn't go as far as to applaud his behavior, but I particularly 
blame him for anything.
