Well, to clarify, the two jurors who agreed to talk with the media indicated 
that his lack of emotion may have played a part in their decision during the 
PENALTY phase of the trial.

In all my readings since the verdict, none have indicated that his emotion 
played a part in their decision during the CRIMINAL part of the trial. This 
is a very important distinction. While the criminal case should be decided 
purely on the facts, the penalty phase provides for additional factors to be 
weighed....one of which is remorse, I believe.

So in that regard, a juror saying something to the affect of "He didn't seem 
to show any emotion", once they've already convicted him of murder, can be a 
valid consideration when deciding his fate.
