It's also amazing how some choose to take the deaths and devestation in Asia to 
push a political agenda.

It's perhaps sad how this has turned into a 'America saving the world, the 
world hates us' type thread.

Of course the US needs the poor countries, but is it fair to kick the US in the 
teeth for opening the pocketbook? And not just once,
but time and time again?

Oh and which debt? the debt to the UN? China? world bank?

how about the money we've loaned over time to countless countries around the 
world? Do we get that back before we isolate ourselves?
Will be allowed to recoup business investments? Can we have a receipt for the 
humanitarian aid please? Or do we just get stuck with
that bill too?

Do you think that if the damage had been worse there this last hurricane season 
in Trinidad the US wouldn't have been involved
financially, or would you be happier without the (possibility of) aid?

It's amazing how much the US sucks and yet we have thousands of people flocking 
to our borders every year...
