I respectfully disagree. The right to life is the most basic right. Many people believe, as a matter of faith, that life starts at conception. To them, abortion therefore denies the most basic civil right to children who have no defense.
In effect, these people who choose abortion as their "one issue" are really choosing a broader issue, that of the rights of all to life.
