My Mcafee AV software now scans for "potentialy unwanted programs". 
It does pick up stuff that spybot and ad-aware miss from time to time.
 Grisoft's AVG might do this as well.  AVG is free and Mcafee used to
have a 2 week demo version that you could download.  I don't know if
they still do.
