While this won't help you immediately, I find that removing spyware 
through the spybot and other programs only does half the job.  Search on 
google for windows update spyware or something like that, and chances 
are good you'll find instructions on how to uninstall on some forum.  
Many times it involves removing things, then rebooting, then doing 
something else.  I know that some spyware progs can't really help in 
this regard...
